Austin Skye Wellness opened
it's doors in 2007. It is an extension of a concept
that began 6 years ago as Nature's Healthcare. Where Nature's
Healthcare blended traditional medicine with alternative medicine
providers, Austin Skye Wellness
concentrates on the complementary and alternative
providers.
Chris Barras, DC, Owner
- Dr. Barras was born in Houston, Texas. He graduated from
Thomas Jefferson High School, Port Arthur, Texas in 1987 as part of
the National Honor Society and Who's Who Among American High School
Students. His undergraduate work began at Lamar University in
Beaumont Texas and finished at Austin Community College. He
completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1995 at Parker College
of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas where he was voted outstanding
Intern of his graduating class.
Dr. Barras began practice in 1996 in Austin. His adjustment style
is a blend of over 14 different chiropractic techniques including:
Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique (B.E.S.T.), Biophysics,
Chiropractic Neurology, Activator Methods, Applied Kinesiology,
Gonstead, Diversified and others. His holistic approach to
chiropractic is keenly intuitive and results driven. Dr. Barras
main interest outside his practice is his family. His hobbies
include outdoor activities, music and electronics.
